This UVT5500SS with 1SW500 and 20WP500 is a whole house Ultraviolet Steriliser (UV) with both a 1 and 20 micron pre-filter. 

The UVT5500SS Ultraviolet Steriliser eliminates bacterial and viral contamination of the water supply.  It is commonly used to treat rainwater supplies and other water sources that are at risk from bacterial contamination such as E.coli, Hepatitis, Legionella, and Salmonella.

The 1SW500 1 micron pre-filter is installed prior to the UV unit for the removal of fine particles, dust, dirt, sediment, Giardia and Cryptosporidium.  This string wound pre-filter cleans the water prior to it entering the Ultraviolet Sterilising unit.

The 20WP500 20 micron pre-filter is installed prior to the UV unit and the 1SW500 pre-filter.  This 20 micron washable pleated filter is used to remove larger particles from the water supply including organic matter and can be washed and re-used for up to 12 months depending on quality of water supply.

The complete system is designed to cope with the flow rate of a whole house.
